Chinese Musical + Jewish Love Story#

Touching hearts all over the world through song and the Chinese language!

Language reflects culture. What sparks will fly when a Jewish love story meets a Chinese-language musical? We want to recreate an ancient Jewish love story – the Christmas story with Mary and Joseph -- in an original musical and theatrical production, in the Chinese language, with Chinese voices, and in the cultural perspective of the Chinese people.

When dreams meet reality, doubt is inevitable. When love encounters trial, we’re reminded that not all stories end in “happily ever after.” Allow these songs to escort you into the inner-world of Mary and Joseph as they embark on an adventure of Biblical magnitude—one of dreams and trials. May their journey inspire our own and remind us to believe and never give up.

This December’s concert will be a feast of songs, art, and multimedia, based on 15 original songs. There will be solo performances, duets, round songs, trios, and choruses mixed in with dance and orchestral elements to create an audibly stunning and visually captivating immersive storytelling experience. Also look forward to special guest performances!

Be the first to experience the debut single of "Never Fails" which shares the same name as our musical concert. In the midst of this challenging year of 2022, "Never Fails" sings of a hope and faith that never fails. The demo version of this song was well-received among Melody’s fans on her YouTube channel and was also voted as the most awaited single release.

Melody於美國出生長大，自幼沐浴在音樂環境中，三歲開始跟著媽媽學琴、十二歲燃起對音樂的熱忱，全心投入音樂領域發展。她每天花幾小時練琴、投身歌曲創作與音樂製作領域，全力發展成全方位的音樂創作者。

Melody接受在家教育過程中，同時於美國加州Forerunner Christian Church (慕主先鋒教會) 任音樂敬拜主領、帶領Harp and Bowl Worship Band (琴與爐敬拜團隊) 超過15年。期間嶄露音樂創作才華，錄製、出版多張音樂專輯。於Bethel Church (伯特利教會)實習期間，師從音樂製作人Luke Henderson，學習錄音與製作。跟隨創意部門總監Theresa Dedmon長達三年，學習如何將創意文化落實於當地社區工作。2018年受邀至IHOP (International House of Prayer, 國際禱告殿) 任音樂講師兩年。

2020年返台後，Melody開始經營YouTube頻道，除發表許多原創歌曲外，風格更擴及流行音樂、中東文化音樂、音樂劇…等。同年，更以創作歌曲「美麗翱翔」獲得《Good TV好音樂》創作金傳獎。如同她的英文名字Melody（旋律）一樣，Melody譜出的旋律經常觸動人心、充滿療癒力。她的音樂，情感豐沛且細膩，展現出超越其年齡的成熟與深度，經常令許多聽眾感到驚奇與震撼。2022年，Melody開始一個關於音樂劇的夢想。透過音樂講述感動人心的故事外，並向這個時代以及廣大喜愛音樂的觀眾們傳達重要信息。

Born and raised in the United States, Melody was immersed in music since early childhood. At the age of three she began to learn piano with her mother. At the age of twelve, her passion for music was reignited and she devoted herself to the craft, practicing piano for hours a day and diving into the world of songwriting, recording, and producing music.

Besides being homeschooled, Melody also served as a worship leader and Harp & Bowl leader at her home church Forerunner Christian Church, cultivating over 15 years of worship leading experience. During this time, she continued to develop her songwriting and musical production craft and helped produce multiple albums. She interned with Bethel Music’s producer Luke Hendrickson, focusing on livestream mixing and production, and also with Bethel Church’s Creative Arts director Theresa Dedmon, learning how to collaborate with the local community to create a culture of creativity.

After she moved to Taiwan in 2020, Melody began to steward her YouTube channel, releasing original songs that cover a wide-range of genres including pop, Middle-eastern cultural music, musicals, gospel, etc. That same year she also won GoodTV’s Songwriting Award for her song “Beauty Arise.” Just like her name, the melodies Melody writes often touch people’s hearts and have a healing effect. Her music, emotionally rich and delicate, exhibit a depth and maturity beyond her years, often surprising many listeners. In 2022, Melody decided to pursue her longtime dream of writing a musical. She hopes that this musical will not only touch many people’s hearts but also inspire a generation with a message of hope.

Printed Taiwan-tax-deductible receipts will be mailed to sponsors by the Zoe Arts Foundation (the ZAF), the organizer of the Never Fails: World Premiere Concert (the Concert). For tax-deductibility under another country’s tax jurisdiction, please consult tax experts in that country. Once the campaign reaches its fundraising goal & ends, all sponsorship payments will be non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for other product or services of equal value.

1. 實體音樂會票卷，無另外售票。僅於群眾募資期間 (2022/9/9~10/10) 依據各方案，回饋贈予給線上捐贈的觀眾。

The tickets for the Live (in-person) concert at The One @Taipei 101 are not for sale. The tickets are available only as appreciation gifts to sponsors who participate in our crowdfunding campaign from 2022/9/9 to 10/10. The number of tickets gifted to an individual sponsor will be based on your selected sponsorship level.

2. 實體音樂會票卷，預計於 2022/12/10 (周六) 實體音樂會前一周，以電子郵件 email 方式寄送至您的電子郵件信箱。請務必確認您填入的電子郵件、聯絡資料正確無誤，以免影響到您的觀賞權益。

The tickets for the Live (in-person) concert on December 10, 2022 will be sent via email approximately 7 days prior to the concert. Please confirm your email address before sending the sponsorship payment as your ticket(s) will be emailed to the address provided during this process. 

3. 每張實體音樂會票卷，僅提供一人入場。入場採取自由入座方式，無挑選或保留座位。請於開演前 30 分鐘，持可辨識電子票卷 (手機或紙本列印) 至現場報到處、驗票入場，以順利入座觀賞。

Only one guest can be admitted to the Live (in-person) concert with each ticket. Seats are not assigned but are open for selection after entry. Please bring the ticket (both the e-ticket on a phone and a printout of the e-ticket are acceptable), and arrive at the Concert at least 30 minutes before the showtime for ticket validation.

4. 為了維護您的健康權益，主辦單位將積極配合政府單位之防疫規定，滾動式調整各項防疫措施，保留實體音樂會延後、變更之權利。

Due to COVID-related health concerns, the ZAF reserves the right to postpone and make changes to the Concert according to updated government pandemic policies, and guidelines for indoor gatherings.  

5. 實體音樂會，內容規劃適合各年齡層觀賞。12 歲以下觀眾入場須知：

－6 歲以下觀眾、無座位需求可免持票卷入場；有座位需求仍須持票卷入場。

－6-12 歲觀眾，皆須持票卷入場。

－12 歲以下觀眾，須全程由家長陪同、安靜觀賞。

－為維護觀賞品質，須請各位家長配合工作人員維護現場秩序、進行適度座位調整。

The Live (in-person) concert is age-appropriate for all age groups. Guests 12 years old and younger are welcome when accompanied by adults. Guests 6 years old and over are admitted on one guest per ticket basis. A guest under 6 years old and requires his/her own seat is admitted on one guest per ticket basis. One guest under 6 years old and do not require his/her own seat may be admitted with each ticketed accompanying adult. For the comfort and enjoyment of all guests, please kindly remain silent during the entirety of the performance and cooperate with the ushers when asked to make seating changes. 

6. 實體音樂會，需使用輔具或輪椅的觀眾，歡迎洽詢現場工作人員入場安排。

Please ask our ushers for assistance with guests who are in wheelchair or require mobility aids.

7. 出席實體音樂會現場限定：神秘小禮物，僅提供給現場出席的觀眾，不克出席者恕無另外補發。

Any promotional gift items presented to guests who attend the Live (in-person) concert will only be available to ticket holders who physically attend the Concert, and will not be available for will call. 

8. 線上音樂會票卷 原價 NT$600，群眾募資期間 (2022/9/9~10/10) 依據各方案超值回饋給線上捐贈的觀眾。

Passes for the live-streamed version of the Concert is on sale for NT$600 each. They are also available as appreciation gifts to sponsors who participate in our crowdfunding campaign from 2022/9/9 to 10/10. The number of passes gifted to an individual sponsor will be based on your selected sponsorship level. 

9. 線上音樂會票卷，預計於 2022/12/10 (周六) 線上音樂會前一周，以電子郵件 email 方式寄送至您的電子郵件信箱。請務必確認您填入的電子郵件、聯絡資料正確無誤，以免影響到您的觀賞權益。

The passes for the streamed concert will be sent via email approximately 7 days prior to the concert. Please confirm your email address before sending the sponsorship payment as your pass(es) will be emailed to the address provided during this process. 

10. 每張線上音樂會票卷，僅提供一個裝置使用，並可於 2022/12/25 (周日) 23:59 前無限至回放。

Each streamed concert pass can only be activated on a single device for unlimited viewing before December 25th, 2022.

11. 參與線上音樂會，需自行備妥可上網設備、系統與環境，敬請於贊助付款前謹慎考量。建議您依據個別狀況，提前進行設備與環境測試，以順利參與線上音樂會。

Appropriate hardware and internet access are required to access the streamed concert. Additional internet connection charges may apply. Please check with your internet service provider and confirm your system’s compatibility before selecting streamed-concert passes as sponsor appreciation gifts. 

12. 線上音樂會內容規劃適合各年齡層觀賞，歡迎闔家一同來夢想起飛。

The streamed concert is age-appropriate for all age groups. 

13. 以上資訊若有變動，將隨時公告於臉書活動專頁上，歡迎觀眾可隨時至專業查詢最新消息。若因此造成您的不便，敬請見諒。

Any changes concerning the Concert will be announced on the Facebook page for the event. Please check the page for the most up-to-date information.

14. 音樂劇首發單曲《都不落空》預計 10 月發行。於 Melody Hwang YT 頻道首播後，以電子郵件 email 方式，將下載序號寄送至您的電子郵件信箱。每組下載序號，僅提供 1 個電子郵件下載一次使用。請務必確認您填入的電子郵件、聯絡資料正確無誤，以免影響到您下載的權益。

Debut single "Never Fails" is due for release in October. All sponsors will be sent a unique, one-time use code to download the single for free. The code will be sent to the email address provided during the sponsorship payment process.
